Why do you teach?
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl playing “Teacher” with my friends. I learned sign language and became an interpreter for the deaf when I was in Jr. High and began to work with disabled kids in Sunday school. My heart belonged to kids with special needs from that time on. I believe God has given me a compassion for these kids and has put me in positions to work with kids who have learning needs so I can help them and be an advocate for them. I have always seen children individually and am just pulled toward them.
Why do you teach at FRCS?
My heart belongs to the kids who struggle with learning disabilities at FRCS. I am excited to be a part of a school that sees the need to provide help for these struggling students and provides a program that gets to the underlying causes of the learning disabilities.
What is your passion in life?
To know God.
What are your hobbies and other interests?
Reading, 4-wheeling, going on dates with my husband, my kids and their activities.
