Carol Clark
Educational background and experience:
I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1984 from Northwestern State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN). I worked 17 years in a variety of hospitals serving in a variety of roles, but my desire and passion had always been to teach. I had been fulfilling that desire to teach by teaching children and adults in church-related positions but still wanted to teach academic subjects that I loved! God created that opportunity for me as He moved our family to Denver from Dallas in 2000 and through a series of God-orchestrated events, I was given the opportunity to teach math and science at Front Range! It was in His time and in His plan that this has happened and I give Him daily gratitude for allowing me this opportunity. I have since obtained teacher certification through ACSI, am enrolled in a masters of science program and have been teaching at FRCS since 2004.
Why do you teach?
I “taught” my dolls and stuffed animals when I was young and have always loved sharing knowledge and truth with others, including my own four children. It is a daily blessing to watch a student grasp a concept in math or have a scientific principle unveiled to them and to see students become successful in those subjects.
Why do you teach at FRCS?FRCS is such a positive, uplifting environment to be a part of and we have FANTASTIC families and students to work with and we get to discuss how Jesus Christ is the center of everything we do, including academic subjects like math and science! Where else would you want to be?!
What is your passion in life?
I love to teach as already discussed, I love to run, and I have a passion to learn more about the world in which we live and how it works and therefore more about the Creator of it all! He is so present here and by understanding more and more about this earth and the living things that inhabit it, I am pointed directly to HIM!
What are your hobbies and other interests?
I love to spend time with my wonderful husband of 24 years, my four fantastic children and my two incredible Labrador retrievers in the gorgeous state of Colorado! We do a lot of hiking, biking, running, camping and exploring and worshipping God outdoors! I enjoy distance running and have a goal of running a half-marathon (13.1 miles) in all 50 states. I have met my goal in 17 states so far.
