Gini Trask
Educational background and experience:
I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Northern Michigan University with a Creative Arts major; I am director certified by the state of Colorado for day cares and preschools. This is my 5th year teaching at Front Range Christian.
Why do you teach?
I teach young children because I feel that God has gifted me to communicate His love and His truth to them. I truly feel God’s pleasure blessing me when I see the lights of understanding come on in a little one’s eyes. Teaching means way more to me than coming to school and instructing little minds in the “3R’s”. The gift and responsibility to come along side the home, in training a young person’s life for Christ, is really a privilege I am called to act on very intentionally.
Why do you teach at FRCS?
At Front Range we have the privilege to partner with parents in training their child to become champions for Christ. I believe, and affirm my students’ parents, that God has given them the gift of knowing their children better than anyone else. This prayerful partnership is what makes teaching at FRCS the school and Christian community that blesses me both as a teacher and as a parent.
What is your passion in life?
I am passionate about instilling God’s love for each unique child in a way that becomes very real and personal to each and every child. In other words, I have had a successful year with a student if that kiddo knows that she knows that she knows God’s amazing love for her. Everything else that I can teach a child pales in comparison to that.
What are your hobbies and other interests?
I love to garden. There is something very therapeutic about digging in the dirt & getting homegrown vegetables is a wonderful bonus. I enjoy reading a lot as well.
