Why do you teach? Ever since I became a Christian, I've felt a compelling yearning that I was being called to teach.  People who attended my Bible studies and Sunday School classes offered encouragement and confirmation of this calling.

Why do you teach at FRCS? For the money--just kidding.  As one of several parents involved in the formation of FRCS, I've always held a special affinity for FRCS. As a key member of the philosophy committee,  I saw  90% of the statement I originally drafted pass the committee and lay the foundation and direction for FRCS.  I was also involved in the creation of school policy in the writing of FRCS' first student handbook, solicited foundations for grant money for FRCS, and served on curriculum committee from November 1996 to September 1999 as the school expanded to include a Jr. High School program of instruction. I also contributed writing to a capital campaign brochure, served in the FRCS history project, filled in as a substitute, was a chapel speaker, and managed and updated the FRCS Website.  For years I sat on the sidelines as Nancy, my wife and the school secretary had all the fun.  All three of our children, (Luke, Dan, & Mandy) played sports and graduated from FRCS in 2003, 2006, & 2008 respectively. With all that involvement, it was only natural to pursue teaching here at FRCS as well.

What is your passion in life?  The aspect of life I feel most strongly about is convincing other Christians to pursue God with their MINDS as well as everything else. To get people to commit to higher level academic pursuits to God's glory is my passion.

What are your hobbies and other interests? Reading, hiking, climbing 14ers.
