Educational background and experience:

I have a B.A. in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Elementary Education and an emphasis in Biblical Studies from Colorado Christian University. I have a teaching license from the state of Colorado and have a teaching license through ACSI. 

Why do you teach?

First and foremost I teach because I love kids!  I enjoy the simplicity of students and their viewpoints on life.  I also teach to inspire students to overcome the challenges that they will encounter during their lives.   

Why do you teach at FRCS?

I teach at FRCS because of the Christ-centered community and atmosphere.  It is wonderful to be able to share not only in learning academically, but also in learning about our faith.  I want these kids to not only succeed in their studies but in their walks with Christ.   

What is your passion in life?

My passion is helping and serving others. 
 

What are your hobbies and other interests?

Being a native of Colorado I love the outdoors!  I enjoy hiking, camping, and snowshoeing.  Any chance I can get to be in God’s creation, I am there.  I also like to cook and bake.  My favorite treats to bake are my famous butterscotch oatmeal cookies (just ask my husband).  Family is extremely important to me. I love spending time with my husband and my dog Hank.
